Kid chilling out in Vietnam countryside

This picture was taken in some random little village along the way from Saigon to Hoi An while traveling with Dalat Easy Riders. I think the best way to photograph people is to hang around long enough with camera that they forget it. Obviously you should also ask for a permission to shoot even if they don’t have any opportunity to see the pic ever. Most of the times they are pretty stoked to see themselves on screen. At least that was the case before mobile phone revolution.

Tip: If you want to see more of Vietnam than the regular tourist route I can really recommend hiring a motorbike and guide to show you around the countryside. You may end up somewhere you really didn’t expect.
